The entry of foreign citizens to the Republic of Serbia has been regulated by the decision which the Government of Serbia passed in order to prevent spreading of contagious diseases to the country's territory. In line with the Government's decision, the entry procedure for foreign citizens is as follows:

Foreign citizens entering the Republic of Serbia from the Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Bulgaria, Romania and the Republic of Croatia are allowed to enter the Republic of Serbia if they have a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours, issued by the referent national laboratory of the country they are coming from, i.e. entering the territory of Serbia from.

Serbian citizens arriving from these countries are exempted from thе afore-mentioned conditions when entering the Republic of Serbia.

The following categories of foreign citizens are exempted from the afore-mentioned conditions when entering the Republic of Serbia from one of these four countries:

1) foreign citizens transiting through the territory of the Republic of Serbia, such as:
crews on freight motor vehicles in international transport road traffic. In case of international freight transit by road traffic, the same shall be limited to a period of up to 12 hours from the time of entry into the territory of the Republic of Serbia;
flight crew and cabin crew on aircraft with the Republic of Serbia as end destination, or transiting via international airports in the Republic of Serbia;

2) accredited staff members of foreign diplomatic and consular missions and international organizations' offices, including their family members holding special identity cards, i.e., identification documents issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Secretariat of the Government;

3) children of up to 12 years of age, if the parent, legal guardian or a person from the family household who is accompanying the child has a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours;

4) foreign citizens with a leave to stay or permanently settle in the Republic of Serbia.

Foreign citizens entering the territory of the Republic of Serbia from other destinations (other than North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia) are allowed to enter the Republic of Serbia in line with the hitherto procedure, i.e. they are not obliged to have a negative PCR test, nor shall they be required to remain in self-isolation.

The cited decision by the Government of Serbia abolishes previous measures regarding the entry of Montenegrin citizens to the Republic of Serbia from Montenegro.
